Beets and sweet and sour apples

Ingredients for 4 people:
500 g fresh beets - or cooked packaged
2 green apples
5 tablespoons of Mengazzoli raspberry vinegar
2 tablespoons of sugar
2 cloves
Red pepper
salt and pepper
Pour the vinegar into a small saucepan with sugar, cloves and pepper.
Bring to a boil until it begins to syrup. Remove from heat. Cut the beets into thin julienne strips, place them in a bowl and sprinkle with the syrup. Wash the apples well and remove the core with the appropriate tool, cut them into slices horizontally and place them on a plate. Cover the apple slices with the beetroot mixture.
